Giftective does not require an account, login, or email address to use. We do not collect personally identifiable information in the course of generating gift recommendations.

We set a first-party session cookie — a random identifier with no personal data attached — to associate your search with its results page and to apply rate limits. It serves a purely functional purpose.

We record a salted, one-way hash of your IP address, never the IP address itself, solely to rate-limit abusive traffic.

We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated and a consent banner will be added before any such script loads.
